Flame Resistant

The fact that SO cable is flame resistant is a big deal.  Consider the alternative.  Used as a temporary power source for an outdoor concert, pyrotechnics planned for the finale go off early.  A deluge of sparks falls upon a length of SO cable used to power the band’s speakers.  In that moment, a lesser product’s casing might melt, exposing the inner wire strands and becoming an instant fire hazard.  Flame-resistant SO cable won’t be any worse for the experience.
